Holy Hell... It's been a while, right?

So its been a while since my last post and I've been busy as usual keeping up with all my series plus I've also been real busy gaming on my phone... I know, weird right? Who really games on their phone now a days... I think I spend probably an hour or more almost on their daily playing games... Mostly Clash of Clans... That shit is addicting... but enough of that... onto the ANIME!!

There were shows ending right? Like I said before, I'll talk a little about that but before I do I'd like to spotlight some new shows that just started for this season...

<drumroll>

SWORD ART ONLINE IS BACK!!!
I have to say... I'm super happy this show is back... This was everything that an episode 1 should be. Established characters... pointed the story in a direction and kind of left it open for the series to properly take shape. I CANNOT wait til this gets into full swing. The last series is one of my favorite shows of all time... Hell, I've honestly watched it 3x already... and it's 25 episodes, thats like 2 seasons worth of watching. The 2nd series is going to be around the same length as well... I urge everyone... WATCH THIS SHOW! Also, if for some reason you've been living under an anime-less rock for a while go watch the first series... It was amazing!

Second show I'm very excited about is a Manga-based show called Akame ga Kill! I have to shout out to the creator of this great story... I adore the manga. I've read everything thats currently available to me... that is, that was translated and put on one of the major manga reading sites like Batoto, Starkana, or Mangahere. I really hope they can bring the essence of the manga to the screen properly because this manga is BLOODY! So far so good, I liked the first episode and cant wait for more.
Now I mentioned how shows ended right... Well, I'm only going to mention the ones I really think you should watch...

  1. Black Bullet - This show started off great and never let me go. The characters were endearing and you really felt the sadness in the stuff they had to deal with and persevere.
  2. Blade & Soul - The story was pretty good and ended up with some decent plot twists when I really wasn't expecting them. Also, the art on this show is top notch. Definitely suggest this one to watch.
  3. No Game No Life - Can you say... Cliffhanger?! Not that it was a bad ending by any means but you can tell they were always looking for Season 2 in the way they handled it. Anyway, this show is pure entertainment. There is always something crazy going on and the group dynamic is really fun. This is a MUST WATCH show IMO!
  4. Akuma no Riddle - Definitely took me by surprise... I don't watch YURI... like EVER! But this show kept it interesting and the action sequences were pretty decent. Kind of a predictable ending if you ask me but it was what it was supposed to be I guess.
  5. Gokukoku no Brynhildr - Another manga based but this one had an awesome plot and really original story. All the quirky characters with their powers were cool and I'd like to see a second series with this... hopefully there will be.

Weekend Anime Review

So... Sadly... a number of anime is ending either this week or next week.
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou - This show was probably one of the most light hearted romances I've watching in recent seasons. Sadly, they never actually get to the romance between Usa and Rit-chan but its kinda implied that although he's had a thing for her the entire time... shes slowly coming around to reciprocating. This last episode kind of delivers the feels but you just... really, really want them to get together. If they make it to season 2 then they HAVE to end up together... that would be dicking around with our emotions too much.

Nanana's Buried Treasure - Ended on Thursday, this anime started off a lil' shaky but quickly became something I looked forward to every week. Just enough action and adventure sprinkling in small hints of an impossible romance... 3 way romance on top of things, that would make it complicated. They did leave this with a lot of room to open it up and I wouldn't really be surprised if there was a 2nd run of this. I liked it and would welcome the next season with open arms.

Blade & Soul - This show has one episode left and I'm anxiously awaiting its conclusion. Although skeptical at first (I mean really... an anime based on an MMORPG that hasn't even been released yet), but the art style is awesome and this story isn't terrible. The story premise is good but has a lot of holes and is a bit vague. The main points are easy to follow and its moving the plot along quite nice... Just hope they explore more about why Alka and Jin are polar opposites and what brought about the slaying of her clan/master to trigger the vengeance path for Alka. I'm the kind of guy that likes lore and stuff like that and we just weren't given everything... Whether or not they make up for it in this last episode only time will tell...

Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara - Technically 2 episodes left... This seemed like a typical harem/shounen gig but they whole seeing flags and having power over them is a pretty cool dynamic. Plus, up til recently he's been this gloomy kind of anti-hero who doesn't want the attention. Now he wants to make things better... that is, til he disappeared. But... only Nanami remembers him. What twist or turns await these last 2 episodes...

>>Eps to Finish<<

  • Dragonar Academy (Downloaded)
  • Akuma no Riddle (Downloaded)
There are a few more... but I'll just save them for another post... Plus I wanna talk about the shows that are continuing on through to the next season. Those are pretty good too..

Thursday Again...

Anyone know what that means? Anyone? Well, it basically means that the line up for today is...

Blade & Soul 4
Nanana's Buried Treasure 3

Episode Breakdown:

Blade & Soul continues right where 3 left off... Alka injured and the Pleasure Gang 90% demolished. The owned of the main Inn saved the leader and a couple members of the gang and when Alka was shot she fell off the cliff into the water. A couple kids found her and shes been asleep 3 days.

The boy takes Alka's sword and starts attacking and killing people to steal things and food for him and his sister. All the while Alka is having a dream about her master and lessons she must understand. She eventually wakes up but has a problem and can't see.

The boy rips off the wrong people and they come back to recover the stolen goods. He ends up paying with his life but Alka finally gets her sight back and kills the two men to came. His poor little sister is left alone... and ends up working for the Inn/Bar Owner. It's a lil rough but thats the gist of the ep... Would however suggest watching on your own.

Nanana's Buried Treasure sees our gang finding a ruin for one of the collection. Juugo, Tensai and the Prez go in to try and retrieve it. Tensai figures out the trick to the puzzle and Juugo and the prez carry out the plan to get it. However, HUGE BACKSTAB!! Prez incapacitates them and steals the treasure for himself.

Tensai and Juugo manage to live by sitting on the chest hugging... Things get a lil hot and heavy... Tensai kinda starts falling for Juugo (kinda figured it'd happen). The police come to save them and Juugo volunteers to tell the cops everything while Tensai and her lil maid friend go free to find out the activities of the Prez.

----------End of the Breakdown----------

Both eps are worth their watching and do what they can to move the story along. Hopefully more action from both of them next week...

Blade and Soul 1

So I've got no expectations for this anime... i think i mentioned before that the art drew me in. After watching one anime, its still not solidified I'm gonna go the distance with this, but the animation is great.

So this ninja-like chic is being chased. They have guns and still lose... All stabbed in the throat. Turns out she's on the run as someone who has killed their master... Her name is Alka and she gets hired by this small village as a Merc. When the enemy soldiers come theres a slaughter of the innocent and she kills one of the main attackers.

The Chief's daughter, running the whole place alone by the way, feels responsible for the destruction and death. Anyway... this show is pretty good and worth a look... I like it... Hell, i watched episode 2 like yesterday.
