Holy Hell... It's been a while, right?

So its been a while since my last post and I've been busy as usual keeping up with all my series plus I've also been real busy gaming on my phone... I know, weird right? Who really games on their phone now a days... I think I spend probably an hour or more almost on their daily playing games... Mostly Clash of Clans... That shit is addicting... but enough of that... onto the ANIME!!

There were shows ending right? Like I said before, I'll talk a little about that but before I do I'd like to spotlight some new shows that just started for this season...

<drumroll>

SWORD ART ONLINE IS BACK!!!
I have to say... I'm super happy this show is back... This was everything that an episode 1 should be. Established characters... pointed the story in a direction and kind of left it open for the series to properly take shape. I CANNOT wait til this gets into full swing. The last series is one of my favorite shows of all time... Hell, I've honestly watched it 3x already... and it's 25 episodes, thats like 2 seasons worth of watching. The 2nd series is going to be around the same length as well... I urge everyone... WATCH THIS SHOW! Also, if for some reason you've been living under an anime-less rock for a while go watch the first series... It was amazing!

Second show I'm very excited about is a Manga-based show called Akame ga Kill! I have to shout out to the creator of this great story... I adore the manga. I've read everything thats currently available to me... that is, that was translated and put on one of the major manga reading sites like Batoto, Starkana, or Mangahere. I really hope they can bring the essence of the manga to the screen properly because this manga is BLOODY! So far so good, I liked the first episode and cant wait for more.
Now I mentioned how shows ended right... Well, I'm only going to mention the ones I really think you should watch...

  1. Black Bullet - This show started off great and never let me go. The characters were endearing and you really felt the sadness in the stuff they had to deal with and persevere.
  2. Blade & Soul - The story was pretty good and ended up with some decent plot twists when I really wasn't expecting them. Also, the art on this show is top notch. Definitely suggest this one to watch.
  3. No Game No Life - Can you say... Cliffhanger?! Not that it was a bad ending by any means but you can tell they were always looking for Season 2 in the way they handled it. Anyway, this show is pure entertainment. There is always something crazy going on and the group dynamic is really fun. This is a MUST WATCH show IMO!
  4. Akuma no Riddle - Definitely took me by surprise... I don't watch YURI... like EVER! But this show kept it interesting and the action sequences were pretty decent. Kind of a predictable ending if you ask me but it was what it was supposed to be I guess.
  5. Gokukoku no Brynhildr - Another manga based but this one had an awesome plot and really original story. All the quirky characters with their powers were cool and I'd like to see a second series with this... hopefully there will be.

Black Bullet 10

I've been watching this faithfully and its really a good show. There are some crazy things tho that happen in it that might not sit well with some people... Like, the treatment of children. Now, I know they're "Cursed Children" and all.. and supposed to be a threat to humanity because they have the Gastrea inside them... but the things they do to kids in these episodes is nuts.

Latest dastardly deed... Blowing up a school. Rentaro and Kisara are acting teachers in one of the outskirt schools for the Cursed Children. They seem like good kids, genuine and fun but just not blessed with being normal. So what do the Anti-Cursed Children extremists do? Use a Varanium laced bomb to kill all the kids. Its nuts... Fuel for the fire I guess, because Rentaro is all about vindication and I think hes going to get justice for those kids... I mean, just the day before when they were in class he had them fill out one of those 'What I wanna be when i grow up' kind of surveys. The act really hits when he's identified the bodies of the girls and goes to sulk on the roof. He takes out the surveys only to let them be blown away by the wind. Just sad...

Bad part is... the Monolith comes down at the end of the episode AND its a day early. Now the next ep will be a rush to defend against the swarm I'm sure. Can't wait to see what happens next week.

Black Bullet Episode 8

Rentaro is now... A teacher?! Hehe, thats the way the episode starts. Hes teaching what looks like a class of Cursed Children on the outskirts of District 39. The leader of the Tokyo Area, Seitenshi, pays him a visit... Grave news....

Monolith to be destroyed in 4 days!

Apparently a stage 4 latched onto and is now destroying one of the Varanium Monoliths that protect the city from the Gastrea. It spits a corrosive acid that is eating away at it and it will turn white and lose its effect in 4 days. There are some 2,000 smaller Gastrea gathering outside the Monolith waiting to attack. She wants him to put together a team to battle the Gastrea for 3 days while a new Monolith is finished.

Tina accompanies Rentaro around as he looks for other Civil Officers to recruit for the team. They detour and he spends some time showing Tina around. They visit a few shops and hit up a crane game. In the end they face a team, and have to beat them for them to join... Was there a doubt? Rentaro and Tina win in epic fashion...

Overall a good episode. Sad that this will be ending in a few weeks.

Black Bullet ep 6

This new Arc is really heating up... Tina and Rentaro meet up again and seem to be getting along well... Tina gets a new target and ends up running into Rentaro as he tries to save his boss, and love interest as it seems.

Shocked to find him an enemy and not an ally, Tina flees the scene. She takes another run at the head of state and fails... but Enju decides to go after her alone. Last minute clilffhanger has Rentaro calling Enju to return and regroup... but Tina has her phone. What happened to Enju? Is she dead?

PLOT ARMOR!!

>Enju can't die, of that I'm sure but she can be badly hurt. So I'm eagerly awaiting next weeks episode now to see how things turn out.

>Typical setup has Rentaro dishing out the killing blow on little Tina. Has more of a dramatic effect if you consider that he thinks of her as a friend right now and not an enemy.
