Found on Netflix: Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise

Movie time...
Found this just browsing the suggested anime section on Netflix and decided to give it a whirl. Immediately it started off great. The animation reminded me a lot of Sidonia in that it looks 95% CGI. I don't mind that and it keeps things uniform where as hand drawn can have some inconsistencies sometimes.

Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise

Story is of far in the future where like 95% of Earth's population have been 'digitized' and now live in DEVA. DEVA is a computer system that hold endless possibilities for the citizens who live there. There is a very seedy underside to it but we'll get to that later.

The opening beach scene has our heroine lounging on the beach clad in a bikini. Almost immediately there is a breach in DEVA security and a PSA'esque message playing about space travel and humanity's chance to explore. Our MC hops up and employs a digital access terminal to trace and stop the hack. The origin of the hack appears to have come from the surface... Looks like Angelina is going to have to go out into the 'Real World' to stop this menace. It just snowballs from there hopping from one back alley contact to the next shady dealer looking for leads to catch 'Frontier Setter', our antagonist.

Without giving away the story, its a wild ride with a nice twist and it really shows that even if we evolve we never really let people be truly free. DEVA comes with a price and one you probably wouldn't know about or think about until its too late.

Overall Rating: 8/10

The League...

Computer games...

League of Legends

This is apparently the number one game in the world and the focus of so many eSports events. Seems I've taken a liking to this game and have started to level my account. I'm nearly 10 and have bought a few of the champions to see what ones I really like.

I've gotten pretty decent with Master Yi.

Ill be posting more as I get deeper into this culture because that's what it is... A huge community and a way of life for some people. Hell, some people make a living off this damn game. CRAZY

Actually, I Am ep 2

If you watched episode one... this one kind of picks up almost right where it left off. Now, we got the Class rep in the mix. She sees Asahi and Youko walking home and begins to doubt her choice last summer, that is, rejecting Asahi before he could confess. She follow him to the classroom and sees that Youko has her wings out and they think the jig is up... Little do they know...

Shes an Alien!

Oh the irony... Hilarity ensues and its wtf dense morons for the rest of the episode. In the end they decide to keep each other's secret and it looks like they will become close friends.

Monster Musume ep 2

Two new characters get introduced...

Papi - The 'bird-brained' Harpy

Centorea - The noble and traditioned Centaur.

Both of these characters have charm and I think that this show is going to increase in the level of crazy from here on out. The MC does also have one of the sturdiest bodies... taking all that punishment and keeps on going. Kinda reminds me of Keitaro from Love Hina. They would beat the ever living shit out of him and he would never die... Hero status on that.

A New Season... Some New Blood

So as we roll into a new season there are always new shows on the horizon. I know not everyone is like me and will watch almost anything but there are a few that I've already watched one or two episodes of that I think are going to turn out rather well. I intend to list them here... (as if you didn't already know I was gonna do that?)

1st up is... Charlotte.
What we have is a shounen, school, comedy anime based around students who have powers and the small group who's trying to save them. I'm 2 episodes in and there is enough comedy and serious to balance out. Shows good promise and I definitely think its worth a look.

Next is... Monster Musume
Ecchi... and a lil weird. I've read quite a few of the scanlated chapters and this is an Ecchi harem where the girls are all monsters. Weird premise but it give it a funny spin and added dynamic. I'm usually down for a good harem with some fan service all over. I'll be watching this in it's entirety.

3rd on my list is... Gate
Now I'm only one episode in but I can already tell that im going to really like this one. Old meets new in this battle comedy where a big Gateway appears in Tokyo and soldiers come riding through on horseback with weapons that appear centuries old. Stay tuned, this one's going to be good.

4th up is... Classroom☆Crisis
I think I'm still on the fence about this one but I may end up warming up. Premise is cliché but with a twist. Typical school settings... but this class is Special. A-TEC class is all scholarship students who work at the parent company who sponsors the school. It starts with a transfer student being kidnapped and ends up as the CEO's lil brother who is actually there to shut that class down. Drama ensues...

(still with me? I've only a couple left)

At number 5 we have... Shimoneta (I'm not typing this long ass name)
This one looks hilarious. Its a school setup, future based, but the world has gotten to be some serious tight asses. "Coarse language" has been banned by law and people aren't allowed to swear or make dirty jokes. This is where the twist comes in... There is a terrorist. Yea, you get it... A dirty joke terrorist. Its a lil corny but completely fun. I'm in on this one.

Another is... Okusama ga Seitokaichou!
This is actually a short, meaning the episodes are like 8 minutes long, but the manga is so good I almost have to watch it. Starts off with heroine of the store ends up through circumstance, being the MC fiancé. He doesn't want to believe it or let her stay... but temptation. This show is a must watch for me, plus its being released in uncensored episodes! Always appreciate that.

Last but no where near least... DRAGON BALL SUPER!!!
Can we just write that one more time? DRAGON BALL SUPER. It feels really good and just saying the words make me kind of giddy. DBZ as I'm sure it did most, occupied a large portion of my early adolescent childhood. I'll be honest, I don't think I've sat through every single episode and its probably because I've watched the Frieza Saga like 5 times, but I'm actually trying to watch it with my son. He's only 4, but seems very interested when its on. I'll put it out there that even if this started terrible, and was the worst crap on TV I'd probably still watch it since its genuine CANON Toriyama himself. So, do what you must but I'll be watching this one every week, no if, and or buts about it.

Side Note...
I have some Honorable mentions... (No opinion or haven't watched them yet)
-Prison School
-Sky Wizards Academy
-Bikini Warriors

Finished a Couple...

So I watched the end of two shows that I enjoyed. One was a carry over from a previous season and the other was a 13 episode show that began this season.

-Fate/Stay Night (Unlimited Bladeworks)
I've seen the other versions. This was a retelling following the unlimited bladeworks storyline. I have to say that I rather enjoyed this. You always had the notion from the other series that Rin and Emiya were going to end up together but I don't recall them actually doing it. Seeing it here was a welcomed addition to their characters. Not sure yet if this is my favorite iteration of the series but well worth a watch for anyone who likes the Fate/Stay series.

-Plastic Memories
This show took me by surprise. Very simple and not over the top. Bittersweet love story between a cyborg/android (I'm not really sure what to call them) and a young man just starting out at a new job. Decent animation and just enough character depth to care about what happens to them along the way. I'd recommend taking a peek at this if you have a chance hopefully you'll enjoy it as I did.

A New Addiction

So has anyone else played this game Brave Frontier? It's not a new game but holy hell is it addicting. I just started about a week ago and I think I've played almost 25 hours or so.

It's a summoner game where you summon units to fight for you. They can be upgraded and augmented and you can use other units to "fuse" and increase their level, eventually evolving to the next star level. 7 star being the highest.

I'm not that far along but I think I'm doing well. I'll post a picture of the squad I'm running with.

Anyway... If you haven't tried this game and you're looking for the next killer app then give it a go. There's just enough new to go with the retro feel to balance it out.

Reading Binge...

So I get into these moods sometimes and all I do is just read, read, read. Not really a bad thing but I find myself reading new stuff when I haven't even finished the old stuff yet. So I'm going to do my best to finish up my chapters before looking for new and exciting manga to read.

Nisekoi - 9 Chapters to be current
Keijo!!!! - 1 Chapter to be current
Baby Steps - 1 Chapter to be current
Nozomi x Kimio - 2 Chapters to be current
Shokugeki no Soma - 7 Chapters to be current
Nanatsu no Taizai - 20+ Chapters to be current
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari - 1 Chapter to be current

Thats really just to name a few... there are actually just under 200 titles in my Queue on mangawatcher.

Pretty awesome. The manga is good too.

Back in Action

Guess I'll start this back up but in a more mobile manner. Posts will probably come from my phone and be shorter.
