Buddy Complex 5

Let me just say that this show has exceeded my expectations... Not that i really had any to begin with. It's just that they keep adding layers to the story and the characters are more endearing when you hear good backstory.

So Aoba is now a Reserve Ensign and given 'New Recruit' training... really just code for making him clean the ship all over. Its kind of a tradition apparently. the last leg of his initiation is cleaning a big ass ramp... He gives up and dont want to do it. Of course at the bottom of the ramp is Dio's sister who is trying to get on to see her brother. Aoba helps them because he hears about what happened to Dio's mom and how Fiona became a cripple. Dio was blamed by his father

and now blames himself... Tragic, really. When he gets to the bridge with her a party ensues, its the 'tradition'. Amidst the festivities the call Dio and a battle breaks out. 

On the Zogilia side... Hina is reinstated and allowed back to active duty. Although not fully cleared, she is allowed to join battles to prove her innocence. 

An attack on Chitose base occurs and the Cygnus and its crew are ordered to help with the defense but it proves futile. The enemy has them pinned front and back. Aoba and Hina cross paths on the battlefield and he still tries to communicate with her... Shes not having any of it and continues attacking. Dio steps in to save Aoba and fend Hina off.

The order to abandon Chitose comes down and the Dio and Aoba have to couple and perform this awesome maneuver to get away. its like they became this spinning shield in front of the Cygnus, blocking all incoming fire and just deflecting it away. Pretty bad ass actually. They get away... 

Hajime no Ippo - Rising 17

Takamura's fight is drawing dangerously close. His pre-fight press conference he doesn't even shake hands with the champ. Aoki and Kimura are awaiting their bouts and getting nervous as hell until Ippo and Manabu stop by. Seems the few words from Ippo and Manabu put them at a little more ease. 

Kimura is up first... the venue is huge and packed to the rim. He's not used to fighting in front of this many people. The fight is underway but hes having a rough go... just barely hanging on. He finds his opponents weakness but it is too little too late. His match ends in a draw.

Aoki is next to fight. His opponent looks hilarious. Apparently hes also a trickster just like Aoki. They trade blows and Aoki actually falls for one and ends up taking a coconut punch to the face. They trade tricks back and forth and eventually Aoki wears him down... his weakness is his stamina. When he realizes it he goes head to head with him and even their fight ends in a draw...

Log Horizon 18

Shiroe, Akatsuki, Crusty and the princess make it to Akiba. Get the princess some new clothes and set up an even to speak to the people. The speech goes well and lots of people volunteer to help her. They set out from Akiba in the steam ship and also on horseback. Shiroe Calls ahead so they can setup a strategic HQ to hit the ground running. Seems to me like Crusty and the princess may start having a thing. The princess understands well that in their society that the women dont have any real power and she may not be able to make good on her promises. 

Crusty is apparently a really good commander with a lot of experience in running large groups. He has already laid out the formations and started giving orders... And for the goblins, 'Kill them all'

Nisekoi 4

Episode 4 in Nisekoi revolves around a home study session at Raku's house. Ruri decides to try and make a chance for Onodera and suggested it. She was hoping they'd have more alone time but the whole gang came instead. Everything seemed to be going well for them but Chitoge buts in and makes Raku look stupid... HAHA he curses her.

Chitoge actually asks Onodera if there is any guy that shes into... This causes an immediate response from both Raku and Onodera. Its funny to watch Raku back pedal out of these situations and she only meant is like in a girl talk kind of way. When Onodera says that she currently doesnt have anyone that she is really into at the moment, almost instinctively Chitoge answers the same way. Then she realizes what she just said and her and Raku try to cover up the mistake. While the chit chat continues Shuu asks them how 'far' they've gone and it

prompts Raku to drag im from the room and spill the beans about the fake relationship. Shuu confesses that he pretty much knew already and was just interested in teasing. 

The yakuza in the house summon the couple to the back of the house and end up throwing them into the store room to try to help them 'make progress' in their relationship. Unknowingly Chitoge is very afraid and shows a frail side

to Raku. He takes notice that shes really a girl. All this time hes been ignoring her because of his feelings for Onodera but he sees her as 'hot' for the first time. They actually get into a funny lil fight about whether or not they've kissed or been kissed. Its cute in a way and then she gets ahead of herself and falls over on top of Raku and they have a 'moment'. No kiss happens but its damn close and completely interrupted by Claude. Onodera does see their 'almost kiss' and hauls ass outta there... Raku cries.

Later at home, Chitoge exits the bath and her 'friend notebook' is open on her table, turned to Rakus page. She decides to write something nice about him inside instead of the derogatory statements that were there.

Nourin 4 (No-Rin)

The opening for this episode shows Ringo staring in a mirror tryin to make herself smile. It appears the field was attacked overnight and everyone has opinions about the cause. Its more or less decided that a wild monkey was

doing it. The gang forms a small committee to deal with it and take turns thinking up ways to stop it. I like Kousaku's... hes got like a mini-gun that shoots fireworks. The idiot lights it and nothing happens so Minori like a dumbass looks down the barrel and gets shot by all the fireworks. They ultimately decide to hire an Otaku-looking guy as a hunter to shoot the monkey. The monkey gets captured... and sent to a zoo, case closed there.

Kousaku begins to wonder about whether Ringo is enjoying her time with them. He goes to Minori's room and asks if he can come in and talk. She

completely misunderstands and gets the room ready to do the deed (if I didn't say it, shes really in love with Kousaku). Kei shows up to help discuss and she gets all pissed... funny shit.

They try multiple ways to make her laugh or smile but it all fails. Ringo confronts Kousaku about what they're doing and he asks why shes always so serious. She reveals that she can't smile. During her work as an idol before they told her her expression was stiff and over time she couldn't summon any expression at all.

Kousaku has a weird dream about Wakkadonna as Gaia and not to forget what humans have done to her. He says he's going to take her 'you-know-where'. Its a field that they have inherited from the previous club. The soil there is dead and unfertile from having the same plants grown in it season after season. He explains that it might take a while but it will eventually go back to normal. She seems hopeful and asks if she can eat a tomato... Even though she calls it bitter she still eats it and with juices running down her face... she smiles.

Kill la Kill 16

So for starters... they tease us with a whole.. 'This is a compilation episode'... what a farce.. New intro tho.. i actually like this one better.

Satsuki heads back to the academy but is highjacked by Harime and seems like they'll make a detour. Seems like they're headed back to the Kiryuin manor where a weird ass incestuous scene takes place with Satsuki and her mom... That shit was weird. At the same time. Ryuko and and Mako go with the Nudist Beach guys to what appears to be an underground... well, nudist beach... i guess its their HQ. LMAO.. it was Ryuko's father who founded Nudist Beach.

Both Ryuko and Satsuki are brought up to speed with the bigger picture of the whole thing. Life Fibers are actually an alien life form who came to earth in

ancient times. They chose humans because we had the most brain capacity then and helped us to evolve for the sole purpose of using our populace as food when the time was right. Ryuko refuses to believe and takes Senketsu off and says she wont fight or force Senketsu to fight and kill his own kinds. Seems that Senketsu was created artificially by Ryuko's father for the sole purpose of stopping the Kiryuin's and their plot. The episode ends with a stand off between Tsumugu and Ryuko in her undies. 

Minamoto-kun Monogatari 112

Been reading this manga for the last 112 chapters and its getting a lil crazy. If you've never heard of or read any of it its not your typical shounen manga. theres a good bit of romance, not alot of comedy and alot of sexual situations and innuendo. I dont mind any of these things but they may not be for everyone. Here's a lil synopsis from MAL...

Minamoto-kun has a face pretty enough to make people think he's a girl. Because of his face, he was bullied by the girls in middle school who were jealous of his face. He developed a fear of women due to the trauma and ended up attending a high school for boys. Just as he enters college and makes a promise to himself to overcome the trauma of his past, his father remarries and asks him to move out of the house. His father arranges him to live with his aunt (Minamoto-kun's father's younger sister) for the time being. She is an extremely beautiful woman who is also a non-tenured professor at his college. When he arrives at her apartment, she shows him her breasts and tells him that he will be her "guinea pig" in her reverse Hikari Genji project.

The synopsis doesn't really give it full justice because there is alot more story to be had... For now, ill just focus on the last chapter i read today..

Terumi has more or less been kidnapped by Rokujou... Well, not really kidnapped.. She's kinda yandere for Terumi and wants to always be with him to the point of obsession. Last chapter they had sex for the first time and he wakes up to a filled out marriage certificate. Shes a bit off tilt. Thing is, his aunt isn't done with her experiment and has to come get him from her house. On the way back, she explains more of the situation hes in and how things could have gone. She also praises him which hes unaccustomed to... All the while bringing up the 5th conquest. He cant start while hes in that "state"... she grabs his junk...

Gotta Finish the Recaps!

A day late or so i know... but i gotta get em in at least. These were good eps this week and its still going... So lets knock this out quick so i can move on to the new stuff... Cuz.. there's like new stuff... everyday now it seems. 

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren - So Nibutani decides to run for Student Council President. Her and Deko-chan are still going at it all the time... soo

much trouble. She asks Yuta to keep her busy while she's campaigning. He fails... its a really funny scene. Watch it, I was laughing. Most of the animosity between Deko-chan and Nibutani is that she thinks Nibutani is a fake character. Shichimiya, Yuta's friend from middle school, clears up that and all of a sudden Dekomori worships Nibutani. The rest of the ep Deko is helping Nibutani with campaigning.. Until the endorsement speech, where Deko-chan totally blows the lid on Nibutani's Chuunibyou. She starts rolling on the ground saying "Stop! Stop! Stop!". True embarrassment, really. Anyway, back to them being enemies.

Tokyo Ravens - The gang is guarded by one of the divine generals while the bureau puts together a raid to flush out the Twin-Horn Syndicate. While alone,

the divine general asks Harutora what happened in the fight beween Ashiya Douman and Ootomo Sensei. As the operation proceeds the spies are caught and some are killed. The leader gets cornered and ends up being shot by what we believe is the good guy. Turns out he was a supreme Yakou fanatic who believes in Yakou's will. The Chief confronts Hirata, the one behind it all as it seems. They have an epic showdown and Hirata is far more than he seems. Even

though the chief defeats him he still cant understand who he is... because Hirata transforms into the girl that Harutora and Natsume met on the roof at the shrine last episode. The end is Natsume, Harutora and their friend being confronted by one of the syndicate while Shaver (the Divine General's familiar) looks on.

And finally... After like 2 days...
Golden Time - The episode picks up immediately after the last and the Banri barely was able to save them. Everyone is alright except for Chinami. She got a small cut in her mouth. The police come and everyone is checked and they are returned to the police station. Koko's dad meets them but when she runs to him he give her a big ass backhand to the face... and she just cries. Days later and the group still cant contact her, not by calling or texting so they decide Banri needs to go see her. He's get to her house and her father lets him in... The incident caused them to cancel their family trip to Barcelona. Banri finds Koko in her room under the covers. Its a very heart felt scene about expectations and fear

of loss and how she feels shes a burden and is a 'stupid girl'... Both of them lay alot of their fears and feelings bare for the other to see. All they can do is comfort eachother.... Lol her father comes back while they're embracing.. Awkward.. HAHA, he made Banri go make him food while he watched Koko. 

Kimi no Iru Machi 260

Its the second to last chapter and as i thought... Reunion time. I kinda figured

it was gonna happen but i really wasn't expecting what just happened. He gets back, has a few drinks with his bud and then takes a chance to visit the place of their promise... the top of the hill where the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom. He gets there and he has a moment... shes not there... Some blossom petals blow across his face and there, as if in his wildest dreams... Yuzuki is standing there. That day from a year and a half ago flashes through his mind and, as if she'd known all along... she says, "You're late..." He can't help but well with emotion. She continues, 'We're finally watching the cherry blossoms together' with tears streaming down her face. As he rushes to embrace her... he holds her close probably squeezing with all his might... All he can muster is an apology. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry". The Chapter ends with her welcoming him home.

Although i was taken back by how quickly it came about, this chapter contained everything i thought it would. Knowing Seo Kouji (the author) like i do... I've read alot of his stuff... im almost positive now that we're gonna get a good ending and probably a time skip ahead with kids or something maybe. They deserve it, its been a long road... Nearly 6 years running, this has been one of my goto Manga almost every week. I'll be sad to see it go but anxious to see what comes next.

Engaged - Kobeni is sick and feels embarrassed about not remembering the past and how Hakuya saved her when she was little. While she recovers,

Benio more or less poisons everyone with her cooking... They should've mosaic censored her cooking, shit looked horrible. After Kobeni is better she hesitates when seeing Hakuya and he misunderstands, thinking shes troubled by him or hates him and takes off (like really flies... something is off. He may not be human or something i tell ya). It ends with Hakuya and his sister talking about a secret they might need to tell Kobeni and then an arrow from their home arrives telling of how someone is coming to check on them.

Silver Spoon - Hachi and the gang goto a horse riding/jumping over obstacle competition. You meet an annoying wanna-be-ojou-sama, Ayame, who keeps

HAHA... I love when cellphones
get destroyed... LOL

taunting Mikage and then Hachi. She sucks at the competition and gets disqualified for time... BAKA. Hachi makes a good run but gets distracted by the fact that his brother is there and loses his foot from the stirrup (His bro takes a pic and it costs him his phones). It leads to him just about falling off and almost DQ'd. He ends up fourth in his class. Even though fourth is good he struggles with not being the best. Mikage has her run with Maron and ends up in third. The gang has a BBQ after and Hachi's bro joins them. Their peace is interrupted but Ayame shouting like a nut from the top of some boxes and Hachi gets a call. He gets to ride Maron home to end the ep.

Nagi no Asukara - Kaname woke up last time and spends most of this ep getting accustomed to everything. Sayu realizes she still has feelings for him

and thinks its odd. Her and Miuna kinda have it out at the docks and Miuna says she wont give up. Sayu had all but made up her mind when Kaname comes up to greet her, seems she still loves him. The scientist with Tsumugu realize that Miuna now has 'Ena' and can breathe under water. They find out there might be a way to visit Shioshishio, the under water village. See, when Kaname woke up he tells them he heard a sound like sand moving... Miuna confirms hearing it to. Turns out its a weaker current they may be able to use to visit Shioshishio.

Magical Warfare - Mui travels outside the academy to find her brother, thanks the the fortune teller. The other three are practicing magic back inside.

Isoshima finds a map with red X's on it and they deduce where shes gone. They decide to follow without knowing the gravity of that choice. They sneak out and when Mui is found shes unconscious from the battle with her brother. Takashi manages to hold her brother back until Ida finishes charging a bullet with his mana. The resulting attack makes her brother unconscious and hes saved by some colleague. The 4 get scolded when they get back to the school and told never to leave again. Takashi says he cant promise...

Its late and im tired... Ill write the other recaps tomorrow...

Recaps the 2nd Coming!!

Z/X Ignition - Picks right up where ep 3 left off. The offender is an angel from White world named Gambiel. She is under orders to find Fierte.. after she leaves Fierte spills the beans about her circumstances and how she came to

be there. The following day Mikage runs into Ayase and they spend the day shopping and hanging out. They don't realize they're being watched and then are confronted by the angel forces from White World. Asuka realizes the situation and runs to help while Ayase fights for her life. During the fight the city's power is knocked our and it goes dark. A shock knocks her from Sieger's back and she begins to run only to get stuck at a cliff. Asuka saves her but when the angels see Fierte they run away. Asuka, Ayase and Azumi stand there staring at the city from the cliff. Also, the Angels who recognized Fierte plan to tell of her where-abouts but is killed by Gambiel.
