SAO and Fate/Stay Night

New ep of SAO came out today. Looks like they finally were able to go home. After an update to ALO, the New Aincrad 20-30 floors open and as the group progresses, they defeat and unlock floor 22... This is reminiscent of the first series. When Kirito and Asuna get married they kinda take a break from the front lines and go settle down in a house near the lake on the 22nd floor. Asuna has wanted to go back there soo much and its almost like dream come true it seems.

Also, a new challenge presents itself in the form of 'Zekken'... An imp swordsman who takes on all challengers betting a unique sword skill as the prize. Seems that everyone in the group has lost to him... except Asuna. I think this new Arc will have her become the MC for a bit... at least thats how i see it. I dont mind either way... hope this show just keeps on coming.

Seems like years and years have gone bye since I originally watched the first Fate/Stay Night series and it seems I'm even more enthralled this time than i was last time. Rin finally attacks Emiya as he's at school without Saber and is defenseless. Their battle leads them outside where they find a young girl unconscious and near death. Emiya saves Rin from a Servants attack and haphazardly chases her into the woods. I recognize her as 'Rider' from before and she nearly kills Emiya. He's saved by the bell so to speak by Rin who is now indebted to Emiya once again for saving her life. They retreat to her mansion where she treats his wounds and they talk about Emiya's dad and what little training he's received in the way of being a mage.

Both of these shows are awesome and I'm gonna be sad to see either one go.... And sadly, I'd bet they are both going to end at roughly the same time.

Geez I'm Lazy

I think I might need to set a schedule for this... I do enjoy posting but at the same time with work, family, xbox and the like... I'm just finding it hard to maintain. Not to mention how much anime I typically watch or how much Manga I read. And then there's Football... Not enough time in a day... So lets just say I watched a bunch of stuff and I'm currently caught up on most of what I'm watching.... Like Grisaia or SAO. Also been on my tablet like everyday back and forth on my commute to work reading manga. I love Batoto. Simply love it... Best website hands down for reading  manga... I know about the legalities of everything and I'm not promoting "stealing" anyones IP... But some of these manga are never going to make it to the states and I really wanted to read em.

Really feeling Your Lie in April. Wish the manga would progress but they are taking their time translating/scanlating it. The show is about to catch up to where I've read to... Which makes me a sad sad panda.

Akame Ga Kill Episodes 16 & 17

So I forgot to watch this last week and here we are with another release.. So I'm all caught up and I really wonder how far they are going to take the show. The manga, to my knowledge, is still going and it's a pretty interesting story. I have enjoyed it the whole time... I'll admit that in the beginning the premise was a little crazy and they gore was over the top but it fades away and the story is what matters.

Episode 16 has them facing off against Kurome's minions... They all kind of get one to deal with... Hell, Tatsumi gets 2. They pull through of course but at what price? Lione loses an arm but her and Akame nearly kill Bols, the flame thrower imperial arms user. They break it so he blows his tank and disappears. Najenda kills her old mentor. Mine shoots the cowgirl looking assassin and blows a hole through the giant frog. Susanoo, thats Najenda's humanoid imperial arms, uses his special move to go all super saiyan and kill the giant danger beast corpse. Then they all confront Kurome, who manages to escape.

A small time later, Chelsea... the new member of Night Raid, assassinates Bols and assumes his form to chase after Kurome. Her attempt at killing Kurome fails and the 2 remaining puppets murder Chelsea. Lubbock, who is told to get reinforcements by Chelsea, makes it to the gang and Tatsumi and Akame are sent after her. They follow the trail of blood all the way to the capital where Tatsumi finds Chelsea's head on a spike in the center of a courtyard surrounded by commoners.

Manga of the Moment!

Been doing a lot of manga reading this week and my 'Manga of the Moment' is...

Nanatsu no Taizai
[MAL]
Its called 'The Seven Deadly Sins' in english and I've been binge reading this for the past week or so. If you read the synopsis its pretty close but doesn't really give the whole story. So, the Seven Deadly sins are a group of Knights who were accused of killing the Great Holy Knight ten years ago and disappeared after the incident. Fast forward to today and the Holy Knights have taken over the kingdom and imprisoned the royals. Elizabeth, the 3rd princess escapes and sets out to find the Deadly Sins to battle the Holy Knights and restore the kingdom. The ball is set in motion when she manages to find Meliodas, the captain of the Sins who is also searching for the rest of his gang. The story takes off from there... If you're used to shounen plots and themes this will seem like a run of the mill story, but I've become wrapped up in it to the point where I'm reading 5-10 chapters a day (I'll be caught up to whats available soon).

A Weeks Worth...

So... really busy and haven't had time to post like I've wanted to... But as always I've been trying to keep up with all the shows I decided to watch this Season.

Full recaps... Ehh.. to many to post so I think I'll just post what I watched. Starting with today..

Sword Art Online 2 Episode 16
Yona of the Dawn Episodes 1 and I started 2
Magimoji Rurumo Episodes 1, 2 and 3
When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace Episode 3
Your Lie in April Episode 3
Trinity Seven Episode 3
Nanatsu no Taizai Episodes 1, 2 and 3
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai Episode 3
Gundam Reconguista in G Episode 4

Is that a lot? I'm not exactly sure but I'm feeling lazy and dont really feel like writing and typing out synopsis for all these... I know... maybe I can just keep it short? Ill try...

SAO is SAO... Always awesome and today was no exception. Yona is kind of Historical and there is some drama and betrayal. I think I'm gonna like it. Magimoji I picked up on a recommendation from MAL for something else I was watching. Kind of funny with some ecchi going on, typical shounen. The Supernatural Battles was ok this week, kind of just moving the story along. I think I need to finish watching Your Lie in April... It said I didn't finish the episode but could have sworn I did. Trinity is getting into gear and their ecchi jokes are funny. Nanatsu no Taizai is something that I'm actually reading right now and I'm watching just to see how they deviate from the source material. Daitoshokan is a cute little show and this weeks episode didnt really move the plot though. Gundam is... ehh.. I don't remember but I liked it.

Your Lie in April episode 2

This show has just recently piqued my interest. I was reading the manga a while back but seems like its not translated as fast as I'd liked and I was wondering what kind of show it would make.... The answer is? A good one. The pacing is good, you feel bad for the MC as more of his past trauma is shown... You also get a good look at the love interest here... Shes more or less everything that Arima is not. Yin to his Yang so to speak.

Synopsis...
The gang (Arima, Tsubaki and Watari) head to Kaori's Violin Competition. Arima is caught off guard because Tsubaki lied about where they were going... she knows about his phobia and didn't tell him on purpose, she knew he wouldnt have come. When Kaori comes up she kills the performance but in her own way... Bad for the competition but awesome thing to witness. Seems Arima falls in love with her after that performance but cant tell her because she like Watari. Love can be so complicated. Watari, being the playboy he is, tells Arima that hes skipping practice to spend time with another girl. On the way home, Arima runs into Kaori and instead of telling her about Watari he makes up an excuse to BS her not to go check on Watari... What a wing man... She appoints Arima as his replacement and thats how it ends.

SAO 2 episode 15

Seems like what I thought was going to happen did... The series has shifted back to Alfheim and their new friend Sinon is no longer in GGO but has transferred to ALO to be with everyone.
Kirito is back to his normal self and finds out from Sugu that Excalibur was found. Everyone knows that Excalibur is only given to the greatest sword... Kirito is a loot whore and wants the sword. They gather the troops and head in to goto the dungeon. On the way they are visited by an NPC calling herself the Queen of the Lake. Yui tells them something is off with the NPC and shes been elevated to an AI instead. She puts the group on this path to save the world with an epic quest to infiltrate the dungeon and retrieve Excalibur to save the newly frozen game zone... They gang accepts and they are off to the dungeon. To be continued...

Some Episode 2's out this week

Managed to catch some new episodes... The season is moving along nicely.

Fruit of Grisaia Episode 2
Madan no Ou to Vanadis Episode 2

Both were good and continued almost right where they ended last week. I think if i had to choose between the 2 of them then I'd rather watch Grisaia. It has more characters that are important. Vanadis is definitely one of the better shows this season but it feels like the story is going to mainly revolve around just him and her. Whereas in Grisaia it feels like its more about everyone in the school and they may all get screen time and some story play.

I did also watch Ore Twintail ni Narimasu... but it was late and I was kind of falling asleep. Not really sure how I feel about it only because the MC actually gets a bracelet that turns him into a girl with twintails. I guess if you're into that sorta thing... the twintails I mean. Don't get me wrong, I like a nice pig tails here and there they can be really kawaii... but he's kind of obsessed with them and willing to take on the form of a chick to protect the world from losing its twintails... Weird to say the least... and no cracking jokes about the fact that i watched it... It was hard enough. I like to give things a chance... so I'll be watching at the very least through episode 4. Wish me luck.

Some Stuff I Watched...

Didn't post for a little while but that don't mean I didn't watch anything as I'm always watching something. If you want to know what I'm watching on Crunchyroll you can always find that out on my twitter feed @blackhawksnip3r. It's a pretty neat little function that whenever I watch something it posts it on twitter. Helpful sometimes when even I don't remember what I watched. So, as twitter says... this is what I've watched recently...

Trinity Seven Episode 1
CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon Episode 2
Sword Art Online Episode 14.5 (It's a recap episode so... thats why its .5)

Your Lie in April Episode 1

I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying Episode 2
Chaika - The Coffin Princess - Avenging Battle Episode 1 (I didn't get to finish this tho)

-=My Thoughts=-

So a few new series starting and I'm gonna have to say that Trinity Seven shows the most promise with Your Lie in April coming in a close second. There is actually some more episode 1's that I need to watch but have yet to do so... God I wish there was just more hours in the day. SAO was just a recap and I'm not mad because I think that like season 1 it is about to shift in another direction. The  I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying is only small episodes like 3 minutes. Just a funny look at an a normal Wife dealing with an Otaku husband. Chaika seems to pick up where season 1 left off or a little after that. I need to go back and watch the rest. CROSS ANGE is getting weirder as it goes on... The MC is almost raped by her superior... crazy stuff but I'll continue watching because someone has to... :)

I'm really excited about Trinity Seven. I read a good deal of the manga that was available to me and it's a pretty interesting story and I like the characters and how they are presented and developed.

When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace ep 1

New Anime! New Anime!
HAHA, wasnt even interested in this and it popped up on CR today. I had 20 minutes and this was pretty entertaining. I find it funny that its a shounen show but the male lead seems like a total tard. That, and his power is so completely useless.

Premise: Literature club in a high school somewhere. Girl opens the door to find a boy in full Chuunibyou right there on the floor. Always funny. He's going on and on about his powers and what not and the rest of the members arrive. Hes demostrating in front of all of them when he suddenly awakens to the power of controlling a dark flame. Fast forward 6 months and they've all got super powers... One can control time, another has dominion over the 5 elements. The lil girl can basically create anything she wants in any material. And the president of the club can actually heal anyone or put anything back the way it was... Sadly... hes still stuck with the stupid dark flame that doesnt even burn... it's pathetic.

Their club is assaulted by the student council who only reveals herself as another holder of superpowers when Andou (male lead) bullshits his way out of their 'inspection' by the student council. Turns out all the nonsense he was spouting was actually true by a strange coincidence. She wants to duel and turns out her power is to steal other peoples powers. Andou volunteers not knowing that and she steals his power... he cries like a bitch. The rest of the group now know not to show her and the prez deals with her mano-a-mano in a physical battle. Also, the prez is a black belt in Judo and Karate. Super funny...

The poor girl who was trying to steal the powers really just wanted someone to talk to about it because she was all alone and confused when she awoke to her power. Apparently someone told her through an anonymous text about the people of the Literature Club and her surveillance started from there... The show ends with some guy literally hanging upside down from a tree.

Although I had no inkling of what I was getting into... I may continue watching.
