The Holidays

Always a hectic time in most of out lives. I've been working alot of hours and getting home late at night most days. Any extra time I had to spare has been spent looting and pillaging in Grand Theft Auto V. Me and the guys from my work have formed a crew and most of the time end up in GTA Online at night. I have to admit the game is pretty addicting and being the most open world I think I've ever been in is like... what do I do now? You can literally almost do anything. Frequently we wind up running missions or doing races. Gotta earn the money somehow.

I think I just have too many games to play now. If I dont want to play GTA and can boot up Call of Duty... or throw in Diablo III. Diablo is a fun dungeon crawler, for those who haven't played it. I have the new Assassin's Creed game as well as AC4 Black Flag. And lets not forget FIFA 15. Played a few games last night and got our asses handed to us. Those people were REALLY good. They probably should implement some kind of system that levels the playing field... or just not match us with those guys. We lost 5 to 0... yea, that bad. And also, don't for a second, don't count out Destiny. That game just got new DLC and another expansion coming soon. Although its been a tough 3rd or 4th quarter for games with all the botched releases and what not, 2014 was still a GREAT YEAR FOR GAMES!

I Can't Believe I Skipped..

A month... Really? A whole month? I don't really have an excuse other than my gaming time has picked up significantly and work is also increased. Like... commuting and everything just seems to take up all my time... But, I'm definitely not dead... I'll be back and hopefully with more content, reviews, synopsis and more.

SAO and Fate/Stay Night

New ep of SAO came out today. Looks like they finally were able to go home. After an update to ALO, the New Aincrad 20-30 floors open and as the group progresses, they defeat and unlock floor 22... This is reminiscent of the first series. When Kirito and Asuna get married they kinda take a break from the front lines and go settle down in a house near the lake on the 22nd floor. Asuna has wanted to go back there soo much and its almost like dream come true it seems.

Also, a new challenge presents itself in the form of 'Zekken'... An imp swordsman who takes on all challengers betting a unique sword skill as the prize. Seems that everyone in the group has lost to him... except Asuna. I think this new Arc will have her become the MC for a bit... at least thats how i see it. I dont mind either way... hope this show just keeps on coming.

Seems like years and years have gone bye since I originally watched the first Fate/Stay Night series and it seems I'm even more enthralled this time than i was last time. Rin finally attacks Emiya as he's at school without Saber and is defenseless. Their battle leads them outside where they find a young girl unconscious and near death. Emiya saves Rin from a Servants attack and haphazardly chases her into the woods. I recognize her as 'Rider' from before and she nearly kills Emiya. He's saved by the bell so to speak by Rin who is now indebted to Emiya once again for saving her life. They retreat to her mansion where she treats his wounds and they talk about Emiya's dad and what little training he's received in the way of being a mage.

Both of these shows are awesome and I'm gonna be sad to see either one go.... And sadly, I'd bet they are both going to end at roughly the same time.

Geez I'm Lazy

I think I might need to set a schedule for this... I do enjoy posting but at the same time with work, family, xbox and the like... I'm just finding it hard to maintain. Not to mention how much anime I typically watch or how much Manga I read. And then there's Football... Not enough time in a day... So lets just say I watched a bunch of stuff and I'm currently caught up on most of what I'm watching.... Like Grisaia or SAO. Also been on my tablet like everyday back and forth on my commute to work reading manga. I love Batoto. Simply love it... Best website hands down for reading  manga... I know about the legalities of everything and I'm not promoting "stealing" anyones IP... But some of these manga are never going to make it to the states and I really wanted to read em.

Really feeling Your Lie in April. Wish the manga would progress but they are taking their time translating/scanlating it. The show is about to catch up to where I've read to... Which makes me a sad sad panda.

Akame Ga Kill Episodes 16 & 17

So I forgot to watch this last week and here we are with another release.. So I'm all caught up and I really wonder how far they are going to take the show. The manga, to my knowledge, is still going and it's a pretty interesting story. I have enjoyed it the whole time... I'll admit that in the beginning the premise was a little crazy and they gore was over the top but it fades away and the story is what matters.

Episode 16 has them facing off against Kurome's minions... They all kind of get one to deal with... Hell, Tatsumi gets 2. They pull through of course but at what price? Lione loses an arm but her and Akame nearly kill Bols, the flame thrower imperial arms user. They break it so he blows his tank and disappears. Najenda kills her old mentor. Mine shoots the cowgirl looking assassin and blows a hole through the giant frog. Susanoo, thats Najenda's humanoid imperial arms, uses his special move to go all super saiyan and kill the giant danger beast corpse. Then they all confront Kurome, who manages to escape.

A small time later, Chelsea... the new member of Night Raid, assassinates Bols and assumes his form to chase after Kurome. Her attempt at killing Kurome fails and the 2 remaining puppets murder Chelsea. Lubbock, who is told to get reinforcements by Chelsea, makes it to the gang and Tatsumi and Akame are sent after her. They follow the trail of blood all the way to the capital where Tatsumi finds Chelsea's head on a spike in the center of a courtyard surrounded by commoners.

Manga of the Moment!

Been doing a lot of manga reading this week and my 'Manga of the Moment' is...

Nanatsu no Taizai
[MAL]
Its called 'The Seven Deadly Sins' in english and I've been binge reading this for the past week or so. If you read the synopsis its pretty close but doesn't really give the whole story. So, the Seven Deadly sins are a group of Knights who were accused of killing the Great Holy Knight ten years ago and disappeared after the incident. Fast forward to today and the Holy Knights have taken over the kingdom and imprisoned the royals. Elizabeth, the 3rd princess escapes and sets out to find the Deadly Sins to battle the Holy Knights and restore the kingdom. The ball is set in motion when she manages to find Meliodas, the captain of the Sins who is also searching for the rest of his gang. The story takes off from there... If you're used to shounen plots and themes this will seem like a run of the mill story, but I've become wrapped up in it to the point where I'm reading 5-10 chapters a day (I'll be caught up to whats available soon).

A Weeks Worth...

So... really busy and haven't had time to post like I've wanted to... But as always I've been trying to keep up with all the shows I decided to watch this Season.

Full recaps... Ehh.. to many to post so I think I'll just post what I watched. Starting with today..

Sword Art Online 2 Episode 16
Yona of the Dawn Episodes 1 and I started 2
Magimoji Rurumo Episodes 1, 2 and 3
When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace Episode 3
Your Lie in April Episode 3
Trinity Seven Episode 3
Nanatsu no Taizai Episodes 1, 2 and 3
Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai Episode 3
Gundam Reconguista in G Episode 4

Is that a lot? I'm not exactly sure but I'm feeling lazy and dont really feel like writing and typing out synopsis for all these... I know... maybe I can just keep it short? Ill try...

SAO is SAO... Always awesome and today was no exception. Yona is kind of Historical and there is some drama and betrayal. I think I'm gonna like it. Magimoji I picked up on a recommendation from MAL for something else I was watching. Kind of funny with some ecchi going on, typical shounen. The Supernatural Battles was ok this week, kind of just moving the story along. I think I need to finish watching Your Lie in April... It said I didn't finish the episode but could have sworn I did. Trinity is getting into gear and their ecchi jokes are funny. Nanatsu no Taizai is something that I'm actually reading right now and I'm watching just to see how they deviate from the source material. Daitoshokan is a cute little show and this weeks episode didnt really move the plot though. Gundam is... ehh.. I don't remember but I liked it.

Your Lie in April episode 2

This show has just recently piqued my interest. I was reading the manga a while back but seems like its not translated as fast as I'd liked and I was wondering what kind of show it would make.... The answer is? A good one. The pacing is good, you feel bad for the MC as more of his past trauma is shown... You also get a good look at the love interest here... Shes more or less everything that Arima is not. Yin to his Yang so to speak.

Synopsis...
The gang (Arima, Tsubaki and Watari) head to Kaori's Violin Competition. Arima is caught off guard because Tsubaki lied about where they were going... she knows about his phobia and didn't tell him on purpose, she knew he wouldnt have come. When Kaori comes up she kills the performance but in her own way... Bad for the competition but awesome thing to witness. Seems Arima falls in love with her after that performance but cant tell her because she like Watari. Love can be so complicated. Watari, being the playboy he is, tells Arima that hes skipping practice to spend time with another girl. On the way home, Arima runs into Kaori and instead of telling her about Watari he makes up an excuse to BS her not to go check on Watari... What a wing man... She appoints Arima as his replacement and thats how it ends.

SAO 2 episode 15

Seems like what I thought was going to happen did... The series has shifted back to Alfheim and their new friend Sinon is no longer in GGO but has transferred to ALO to be with everyone.
Kirito is back to his normal self and finds out from Sugu that Excalibur was found. Everyone knows that Excalibur is only given to the greatest sword... Kirito is a loot whore and wants the sword. They gather the troops and head in to goto the dungeon. On the way they are visited by an NPC calling herself the Queen of the Lake. Yui tells them something is off with the NPC and shes been elevated to an AI instead. She puts the group on this path to save the world with an epic quest to infiltrate the dungeon and retrieve Excalibur to save the newly frozen game zone... They gang accepts and they are off to the dungeon. To be continued...

Some Episode 2's out this week

Managed to catch some new episodes... The season is moving along nicely.

Fruit of Grisaia Episode 2
Madan no Ou to Vanadis Episode 2

Both were good and continued almost right where they ended last week. I think if i had to choose between the 2 of them then I'd rather watch Grisaia. It has more characters that are important. Vanadis is definitely one of the better shows this season but it feels like the story is going to mainly revolve around just him and her. Whereas in Grisaia it feels like its more about everyone in the school and they may all get screen time and some story play.

I did also watch Ore Twintail ni Narimasu... but it was late and I was kind of falling asleep. Not really sure how I feel about it only because the MC actually gets a bracelet that turns him into a girl with twintails. I guess if you're into that sorta thing... the twintails I mean. Don't get me wrong, I like a nice pig tails here and there they can be really kawaii... but he's kind of obsessed with them and willing to take on the form of a chick to protect the world from losing its twintails... Weird to say the least... and no cracking jokes about the fact that i watched it... It was hard enough. I like to give things a chance... so I'll be watching at the very least through episode 4. Wish me luck.

Some Stuff I Watched...

Didn't post for a little while but that don't mean I didn't watch anything as I'm always watching something. If you want to know what I'm watching on Crunchyroll you can always find that out on my twitter feed @blackhawksnip3r. It's a pretty neat little function that whenever I watch something it posts it on twitter. Helpful sometimes when even I don't remember what I watched. So, as twitter says... this is what I've watched recently...

Trinity Seven Episode 1
CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon Episode 2
Sword Art Online Episode 14.5 (It's a recap episode so... thats why its .5)

Your Lie in April Episode 1

I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying Episode 2
Chaika - The Coffin Princess - Avenging Battle Episode 1 (I didn't get to finish this tho)

-=My Thoughts=-

So a few new series starting and I'm gonna have to say that Trinity Seven shows the most promise with Your Lie in April coming in a close second. There is actually some more episode 1's that I need to watch but have yet to do so... God I wish there was just more hours in the day. SAO was just a recap and I'm not mad because I think that like season 1 it is about to shift in another direction. The  I Can't Understand What My Husband is Saying is only small episodes like 3 minutes. Just a funny look at an a normal Wife dealing with an Otaku husband. Chaika seems to pick up where season 1 left off or a little after that. I need to go back and watch the rest. CROSS ANGE is getting weirder as it goes on... The MC is almost raped by her superior... crazy stuff but I'll continue watching because someone has to... :)

I'm really excited about Trinity Seven. I read a good deal of the manga that was available to me and it's a pretty interesting story and I like the characters and how they are presented and developed.

When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace ep 1

New Anime! New Anime!
HAHA, wasnt even interested in this and it popped up on CR today. I had 20 minutes and this was pretty entertaining. I find it funny that its a shounen show but the male lead seems like a total tard. That, and his power is so completely useless.

Premise: Literature club in a high school somewhere. Girl opens the door to find a boy in full Chuunibyou right there on the floor. Always funny. He's going on and on about his powers and what not and the rest of the members arrive. Hes demostrating in front of all of them when he suddenly awakens to the power of controlling a dark flame. Fast forward 6 months and they've all got super powers... One can control time, another has dominion over the 5 elements. The lil girl can basically create anything she wants in any material. And the president of the club can actually heal anyone or put anything back the way it was... Sadly... hes still stuck with the stupid dark flame that doesnt even burn... it's pathetic.

Their club is assaulted by the student council who only reveals herself as another holder of superpowers when Andou (male lead) bullshits his way out of their 'inspection' by the student council. Turns out all the nonsense he was spouting was actually true by a strange coincidence. She wants to duel and turns out her power is to steal other peoples powers. Andou volunteers not knowing that and she steals his power... he cries like a bitch. The rest of the group now know not to show her and the prez deals with her mano-a-mano in a physical battle. Also, the prez is a black belt in Judo and Karate. Super funny...

The poor girl who was trying to steal the powers really just wanted someone to talk to about it because she was all alone and confused when she awoke to her power. Apparently someone told her through an anonymous text about the people of the Literature Club and her surveillance started from there... The show ends with some guy literally hanging upside down from a tree.

Although I had no inkling of what I was getting into... I may continue watching.

Cross Ange Rondo of Angel and Dragon Ep 1

Started this today out of the blue. Didn't really know much about this show and it kind of came out of left field. Its not too bad tho. There were some really harsh scenes showing some ridiculous discrimination.

Anyway, this human race has evolved to point of Utopia more of less through the use of 'Mana' or more like the 'Light of Mana'. Its frickin magic... People who can't use it are called 'Norma' and are locked away. The princess Angelise thinks all is fine but on the way home from a sports match she encounters a norma for the first time. Its only a baby and the mother is trying desperately to get her baby back. Angelise makes a statement to the woman saying how norma aren't human and are an abomination and she should 'bear another child'... Really despicable scene.

The next day is her Baptism Ritual where her 'Light of Mana' would be shown to the world... Unknown to her tho is her father covering up his daughter being a norma and she's exposed to the world. Her own brother betrayed her and then her mother dies trying to steal Angelise away. The King is taken into custody and Julius is now going to rule.

The prison Angelise is taken to is dark and cold. Shes mug shotted and ID'd and then has her possessions literally stripped off her... Then, the other graphic scene has her bent over a table with handcuffs and this other mean woman giving her a 'physical'... I was like, 'Damn!'. Also, now she said she will be know as Ange.

Sword Art Online 2 ep 14

It picks up immediately where it left off from the last episode... With Sinon being assaulted in her apartment from her friend and co-death gun conspirator Kyouji. She manages to make it to the door and unlock everything but gets pulled back in... Kirito bursts in to save the day but nearly gets killed by the syringe hidden in Kyouji's pocket. The syringe amazingly hits one of the electrode's still attached to Kirito's chest from the monitoring equipment back at the hospital.

The police arrest Kyouji and his older brother but are unable to apprehend the 3rd accomplice. They meet with they government agent who pulled Kirito back into the VRMMORPG world and more or less go over everything that happened and how they came to be killing people.

The episode ends in a very endearing way... Kirito takes Sinon to see Asuna and Lisbeth at the bar they always goto. Kirito told them about Sinon's past and what happened to her. They researched things and found the woman that was saved thanks to what Sinon did when she was younger. Her act of bravery that scarred her for life was also what saved that woman and the child that she was carrying. The way the lil 4 yr old girl hands her the drawing and calls her onee-chan was just too cute.

Oh I also forgot to mention that Kyouji's older brother... Zaza from SAO, left Kirito a message with the gov agent. It more or less said, 'This isn't over'. Glad theres 11 more episodes to go. Can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Madan no Ou to Vanadis Ep 1

Madan no Ou to Vanadis!

Alright! Another new series! Seems like a great setup for this show.

Opens to a battlefield where almost all have died. A lone marksman (with a bow i might add) stumbles onto the enemy general with only 4 arrows left. He thinks that if he takes her out they will be less likely to attack them again...

2 arrows used to take out the front guards and the last 2 to actually kill her... That... doesnt work so well. She cuts the arrows in two before they hit her and takes him prisoner. Fade out to find him in the enemy encampment and he finds that she is infatuated with his skill with a bow and wants him to serve under her. Some ecchi parts occur and she seems to dig it... good premise to start a story.

Story has promise and although not completely original there is enough subtle singularities that it can  stand on its own. I'm sure I'll be watching this one from now on.

Gundam G no Reconguista ep 2

Other people are introduced and you get a glimpse of the bigger picture... The academy trains people for the army it seems. The Girl who attacked the orbital lift is being held captive, the girl that fell from the sky with the other Gundam is apparently getting admitted into the cheer squad class.
During a party at night the pirates attack and Bell goes to save the pretty pirate captive. They retrieve her and head to hangar 25 where the gundam is being kept. During the attack Bell ends up killing an enemy while trying to save the pirate girl. The one he kills is her captain.. She grieves at his feet about her dead captain. Thats the way the ep ends.

Gundam G no Reconguista ep 1

New Season!!! and that means... New shows! And there is alot of them... I'll start with what I just watched and add more as time goes on..

I've never been a fan of the G Gundam series and it appears this one may actually be a little different so I've resolved myself to watch them...

Gundam G no Reconguista

Only 1 episode in and I'm not really sure whats going on. Not a whole lot has been established... Maybe thats why they released 2 episodes I think.. I'll probably come back and write some more after I watch the 2nd episode. They did introduce a couple characters... Bell appears to be the MC. Ms Monday appears to be linked with the Gundams and shes actually caught in the opening sequence falling into the atmosphere. Looks like she doesn't talk until the Gundam shows up when they are on the Crown, its the orbital elevator i think anyway.

I have some high hopes for this show as it has a unique art style and the way they are drawing the characters and the gundams seems very unique. I hope it continues.

2 More Series Kick the Bucket

I did mention there were others that were ending didn't I?

Blade Dance of the Elementalers: B
Finally finished Blade Dance of the Elementalers. This was a pretty cool show but overall almost run of the mill harem anime. I did a lil more checking and apparently this show barely scratches the surface of the material its based on. There are a bunch of Light Novels and its supposed to get better and better... I wonder if they'll approve a second season and keep it moving. I wouldn't mind watching some more. Basically some girls can make a contract with a spirit and use them to fight. The story centers around the only guy who can do it being pulled into a school to participate in the blade dance and everything that comes along the way.

The second show I wrapped up was...
Tokyo ESP: A
This show came in under the radar for me... Didn't really know what to expect but gave it a shot. Was a pretty good premise about people getting super natural powers from golden flying fish. Sounds.. fishy? It actually turned out pretty good. MC ends up being female but not a problem. She comes through and delivers a good performance. Supporting cast was great... Hell, they even had a cameo of Leonidas from 300 as one of the characters. It was hilarious to say the least... This show is well worth the watch.

I don't remember off the top of my head if thats all thats going to be ending but if there are more I'll be sure to post up what they are and what I thought.

Matane!

Invaders of the Rokujyouma!? El Fin!

I was falling behind on this show and decided that since the last episode aired on Crunchroll i was gonna just juggernaut it through this morning...

I was on like episode 9 and just finished them all in one go. Episodes 10 and 11 actually centered around Kiriha, the Earth Empire girl who was suposed to be invading from underground. Revealed alot of her back story and more or less the reason why she wanted even invade in the first place.

Turns out 10 years ago she got into a fight with her dad and ran away from home to the surface. She met a boy on the surface and went to an amusement park with him. Was the best day of her life more or less and he was her first and only love... Not really sure but it would just be fate that it might be Koutarou who was that little boy but we may never know as the show ends before we find out. She takes Koutarou to the same park and during their pseudo date the Earth people invade. Massive fight ensues and the group from apartment 106 band together to defeat the earth invaders...

Final episode was cookie cutter to a point... He thinks of having a surprise christmas party for the gang and they end up tricking him and having the surprise party at the apartment. Walking Sakuraba senpai home it is revealed that she is actually the princess in Theia's story and Koutarou is in fact the Blue Knight of the legend. Thats kind of how it ends... not a terrible ending but a small curve in a rather predictable ending. I liked the show overall and wasnt looking for anything serious, just light hearted and fun and it delivered with some small comedic tones to boot.

Invaders of the Rokujyouma: B+

So It's Been 9 Days... Alot Happened?

Its been a while I guess since I've posted. Being on vacation... well, a stay-cation more like it I was totally unmotivated to post or do just about anything other than sit around and play Madden 15. It's my first Madden in like 3 years and I have to say, Ultimate Team is pretty fun but nerve racking at the same time. I've kind of come to a conclusion that I'm also not very good at the game as well... I can knock out the computer pretty well, but cant seem to win any games online. I'm exaggerating, I've won like 7 games but im like 7 wins and like 15 losses... Its a terrible record. But on to more pressing things....

THE SEASON IS ENDING!!!

Thats right... there is a bunch of anime that is wrapping up their season and calling it a day... Maybe season 2 will be in the cards for some, but definitely not all... So on with the RATINGS!!

(only rating shows that are ending... that I watched)

Rail Wars: B+
Guilty pleasure and good dose of comedy, nuanced romance and action. Light hearted with no serious plot.

Aldnoah.Zero: A-
Ok, this show was a solid A and nearly A+ until the last episode. I'm not going to spoil it if you haven't seen it but it literally changed everything in the end... Left me with a clear WTF moment.

Note: Season 2 announced for this

Captain Earth: B+
This was a 2 season stretch over 25 episodes and it was decently paced throughout. Character development was pretty good... Not enough back story IMO but that is fine. Plot twist @ the end was nice change of pace as they were starting to rinse and repeat the enemy encounters.

Blue Spring Ride: B
I've said it before, I don't typically do Shojo stuff. Something about this struck me. Decided to watch and was fed a sentimental story about love lost and refound and learning to love again. Very touching and pretty cool how they re-united almost as strangers.

That is all that HAS ended... there are actually a couple other series that will be ending this week or the next before the new season kicks off last week in September... I think first ep of the new season is on like Sept 28 or so.. I've picked up, or should I say, slated myself to watch probably 10 new series... This fall is going to be busy. I'll post up the other ratings once the shows finish...

Sword Art Online 2 Episode 11

So I'm pretty much an SAO fanboy and I'm not ashamed to admit it... This was a good ep IMO and I look forward to the next as usual. Now for that recap..

Sinon and Kirito are still hold up in the desert cave trying to analyze the situation. Kirito comes up with a pretty convincing hypothesis... So, Death Gun isnt working alone... From the way he sees it he must have a partner that moves around in the real world while the DG avatar gets into position in the game. Like he cant just shoot someone with the handgun that kills until the partner actually infiltrates the Avatars IRL house and readies some kind of poison. The little cross gesture he performs when he shoots an avatar is to check his watch so they can synchronize the killing IRL.

Kirito and Sinon have decided to gamble next time on using Kirito as a decoy and Sinon will do what she does best and thats be a sniper. Tho they arent sure about DG abilities because his rifle is also powerful and has a silencer. Seems like its going to heat up from here and I am rather excited to see what happens...

At one point I had the first 10 volumes of the GN translated into English but a tragic HDD failure literally took 3TB worth of information from me.. I literally lost like everything I had been accumulating for nearly 10 years.. Makes me sad but there would be no way to have backed that stuff up... paying for online storage upwards of 3TB would have been quite expensive. Oh, well... win some and lose some... live and learn right?

Sword Art Online 2 Episode 9 and 10

I love SAO... The best anime IMO and this season 2 thing they got going on here is just about as good as the first was. Maybe there will be even more coming... we have to wait and see... On with the episode!

So it ended on a cliffhanger last week with Death Gun finally showing up... Show picks up right there and keeps on moving. They have a little face to face with Death Gun and he vanishes. Ep 9 ends with Sinon now staring down his barrel... Things look grim.

Episode 10 starts and in just the nick of time Kirito manages to save Sinon from being shot and takes off running... Sinon, who IRL has a problem with guns due to a trauma from 5 years ago, now starts to have the same problem in game... shes freezing up and is so scared she cant even pull the trigger. Death Gun gives chase and they manage to elude him to a desert area and hid in a cave. Sinon has a breakdown and it appears that Kirito now has someone else to protect... Isnt he noble?

INVADERS of the ROKUJYOMA!? Episode 8

Yay... finally a Yurika episode! Wait... what? You don't like Yurika? Ehh, its ok, I don't either. It's not really that I don't like her it is just that her character is so weak. She's supposed to be a Magical Girl but seems like its a feat if she can walk straight.

Anyway, one of her enemies come and transfer into the class. Yurika spends most of the episode trying to tell her friends that shes an enemy but who the hell listens to her ever? So yea, she tries to fight her at the end but the girl had kidnapped Sakuraba-senpai and holds her hostage. The MC and the ghost show up to save them but it ends with a cliffhanger that poor Yurika might be dead.

Bladedance of Elementars

Episode 7 is out... Well, I guess it's been out for a couple days. I just got around to watching it...
Decent enough episode. No serious plot development but then again this show is majorly for fan service. I have to say I don't mind that. Well, on the to episode. Maybe I'll just give the major points...

  • Kamito figures out where he knows Fianna from.
  • Rinslet tells Claire how to make her boobs bigger in exchange for being allowed to join them on the mission to the mining town. Clair gets embarrassed... (classic)
  • The Sylphid Knights head to the Mining town as well to investigate but end up getting more or less annihilated but the new "Demon King"
  • The gang shows up to help and they join the fight
Thats kind of the way the show ends. Not a bad ending... You do get to see Restia goading the 'New Demon King' Jio to prove hes worthy of the title.

Took a small manga break...

I've been watching a lot anime and keeping as up to date as possible... and decided to take a small break and try and catch up on a few series. For some reason I seem to have like OCD when it comes to manga lately and instead of fully catching up on a series I've been reading... I'll start a brand new one.

Well.. that happened... Again.

I was considering writing a lil something something about it but I just posted a link to the MAL page for it and that should suffice. I will, however, tell what happens.

So... Boy A tries to sneak a peak into the girls changing room in hopes of seeing Girl C Changing. Girl A ends up obstructing his view but giving him a much better show. With the image burned into his head he becomes enamored with Girl A and asks her out kind of on a whim. To his surprise, she agrees and now they struggle with the awkwardness of being boyfriend/girlfriend and not knowing how to act and also hiding their relationship from everyone. Oh, I also forgot to mention that shes like... super tall... like 20 cm taller than him.

Gotta love the couple dynamic. So far I like it... I didnt really get to experience dating alot when I was younger so its kind of a vicarious type of thing for me... Good story and I cant wait to read more.

Also, if you're interested in reading manga and don't know where to go then I can make some suggestions... Google always helps but may not lead you to the best place.

www.batoto.net
www.mangahere.com
www.starkana.com

Those are probably the main few sites I use. There are others but I'm not going to go through my bookmarks and lay them all out. Also, if you're interested in reading on say a mobile device, I have a suggestion there too...

iPhones you're on your own... I don't like any of the apps on that platform for reading manga. Android however I suggest www.mangawatcher.org. There is an app he has you can download to your phone or tablet and it lets you stream the chapters as well as download them for offline reading. It's what I use just about everyday.

I Didn't Forget...

There were still a couple more episodes I had to watch...

1st up is...
A lot happened in this episode. Hana was kidnapped. Ai used her machine goodfellow to assault the Tenkaidou. Teppei went out in Nebula to try and hold off her debris attack... And... Daichi kills Teppei... We'll leave it at that, OK?

 Next up is...
Some pretty daring shit happened in Rail Wars this week. Firstly... after the way it ended last week, cliffhanger love SQUARE... yea I said square. Hes got Noa, Koumi and Sakurai all pining over him. This shit don't make sense. I understand that its kinda why we watch it but still... This guys is just lucky. Anyway, the episode yea... So Its raining and a mud slide happens and blocks the train. Theres a girl with the an organ that needs to get to a hospital on the other side of the mud slide but no real way to get there now. They find a way of course but some crazy behavior comes along. Just watch.

Uneventful Mahouka

Still ramping up for the whole Thesis thing... you don't really see much of Tatsuya or his sister. They do actually catch the chick who was trying to sabotage the experiment and that made an attempt at stealing data before. But... It kinda seems like they just 'took the episode off' so to speak. Two possible romantic couples could be forming. Shibata and Mikihiko and then Leo and Chiba. Both look interesting but I am finding it hard to find relevance with this little amount of episodes left in the series. Unless of course they are going for a Cliffhanger ending with either a Season 2 or OVA in the future announcement....

A Bunch of Updates..

So, I'm nearing the end of my vacation and its Saturday. Time to watch some Anime...

We'll start with SAO II.
Another story developing episode... I'm not mad but I do hope it picks up soon. The ending was pretty nice with some foreshadowing... Hint hint... Death Gun appears! Yea, I'll give that much away but you should definitely watch this weeks episode. So... On to the next show!

Huge Catch Up! And I think I'm ready for bed...

So I'm pretty sure I just watched about 6-10 episodes... MARATHON STYLE! I didn't get a chance to post about it but I'm on vacation. Me and the fam decided to go camping. Can't imagine what in the world they were really thinking when they came up with that one but we went none the less. Sadly, it was cut short as I had a foot injury. I didn't want to leave tho... I was trying to have us stay so the kids could have fun. Seems they were ready to go home tho too... Should've seen how happy they were to get some Wifi in their lives. Truly a hilarious event.

So I watched like everything that was building up over the weekend. That may not sound like a lot but Saturday is a pretty big day for me... All of my favorites air then. SAO II, Captain Earth, Aldnoah, Rail Wars, Mahouka and Akame ga Kill.

SAO moved the chains and kept the backstory and character development continue.
Captain Earth leaves you in suspense as there is a cliffhanger.
Aldnoah had a nice big turn of the tide so to speak.
Rail Wars is quickly becoming one that I look forward to every week.
Mahouka is doing what Mahouka wants and still kicking ass.
Akame is just that show... I can't put the manga down and the show is the same way.

And now for some mobile gaming

Who here has a smartphone? Huh..? C'mon, put 'em up if you've got an Android or iOS powered device. I'm sure probably 95% of people reading this were raising there hand if not 100%. Mobile gaming for me mostly consisted of my 3DS for the last 6 months... I mean, I dabbled in a few games here and there.

Some were social like the whole '... with friends' line of games. There is some TD type games, thats Tower Defense for those who don't know, like Field Runners, Anomaly Warzone and even the infamous Plants vs. Zombies is considered a TD I believe. Lately tho... It seems I stumbled into a whole other genre altogether. Seems its called 'combat strategy'.

Clash is still fun, but I find myself drawn to a game very similar but set in a time thats more to my liking... It's called Samurai Siege. I feel like I kind of wish I could meld the 2 games together because there are some really nice features in Siege that I would love to see carry over into Clash of Clans... Like a training queue, and yea I know that each building has their own but I'm talking about a universal queue that divides the building up evenly among all the open barracks. Also they let you select and entire row of walls and upgrade them all at once instead of each individual wall section.
Making a long post short... cuz I probably could go on and on for a bit... Download and play this game. At least give it a try.. And if you like Clash then I think you'll fit right in

The Face of the Earth....?

So yea... I didn't fall off it or anything... Just more life in the way you could say. I have managed to catch up on a few series I'd fallen behind on and the craze to finish off Gundam 00 is pretty much taking up my commute to and from work. Hopefully I can finish that off in the next couple of days. Seems like im averaging about 3-5 episodes a day. Not counting if I watch any while I'm home.
Also to note... Akame ga Kill! Yes... this show... WATCH IT!! I'm not a gore fanatic or anything (god knows the manga is pretty gorey) but this show is really bloody... But you kind of get the feeling it needs to be that way. People are being killed and pretty violent ways and the show isn't pulling any punches and I like that. I don't know about any of you... that is to say people who may or may not read this but I started watching anime mainly because I loved cartoons as a kid. As I got older the cartoons didn't and I found my interests moving to more adult oriented material. This of course led to manga and anime in general.
I implore you to please... watch this show and enjoy the story. I know its a tad cliché with its shounen themes and plot but it is still worth it. The action is pretty great and I can't wait to see how far they take the show. There are some pretty neat twists coming up and I'm anxious to see how they will handle this in the anime adaptation of the manga.

Games Games GAMES!!!

So I've been playing games alot more than usual lately and I think this trend will only continue. There are some really hot titles that are coming out very soon and I can only hope I'll save up enough to afford the ones I really want...

Destiny
FIFA 15

Madden
Shadows of Mordor
Evolve
Assassins Creed Unity
(I'm not putting all their logos... just calling it on that)

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare
Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Dragon Age: Inquisition
FarCry 4

Hell, even the re-release of Diablo 3 on consoles kind of has me wanting to get it... The point and click is never really appealing. I've always been a direct control kind of guy. Hell, my best friend tried to get me to play EVE Online and I tried it for a while but it would have been so much more fun if I had direct control of the ships instead of point and click.

Those are just the games that I can think of... I know theres a few more I'd consider dabbling in... like Sunset Overdrive or Alien Isolation or even a couple hack 'n' slash like Sacred 3.

Either way... This holiday season is going to be bumpin'!

Matane!

Gundam 00

This series is a lil old I know but I'm just getting around to really watching it. I think I started it probably about 2 or 3 times and never got past episode 7.

... Not this time!

I had forgotten how epic most Gundam shows are... This is a great story with so much depth of character and great plot twists. It even made me get Season 2 prepped and ready to go for when I finish this up.

I'm nearly done too... I just finished episode 23. Man I hate that mercenary dude... the one who made Setsuna kill his family when he was a kid. Someone needs to kill him and soon!

I really feel bad for that Saji kid... First his girl gets blown up by the ignorant bitch of a Gundam Meister who is just jealous cuz they had money... Second, his older sister dies from that Mercenary because she learns too much... Hes just a sad sad soul.

Destiny!

If you're a gamer and you don't know about Destiny them you're probably living under a rock or playing offline indefinitely because you don't own an Internet connection...
This game is going to be huge... Really HUGE! Bungie is a great developer... Who can forget Halo? I meant Mastery Chief is the man. So... The beta just started and apparently they're letting any Tom, Dick and Larry in to play. I need to download this when I get home and get playing.
But how am I supposed to treat myself from FIFA? Decisions, decisions...
